As the quote goes, Batch 13 is back to continue the journey into MBBS Year 4. The Department of Community Medicine had given us a warm welcome. Time indeed moves fast, we are done with the first week of the posting. A week of presentations and briefing had gave us some light of ideas regarding the visit to five District Health Offices (DHO) around Kedah state. This blog is created to post updates from the twelve Batch 13 members posted to Kota Star District Health Office.

Situated in the town of Alor Star, this DHO is approximately 68km to the north from our university. It takes about 1 hour drive to reach there. This posting is going to be a good shift for us from the passive teaching-learning sessions in the past to a more mature self-learning process. We hope the upcoming two weeks would give us a good ground to learn about the health system in our nation, in which we are going to be part of in the near future. Also, we aspire to mature our mind process regarding the applications and integration of basic sciences into the practice of medical profession. Wishing the entire team of Batch 13 success and blessings from the Almighty.
